Kirby History
The region’s most dynamic auction company Ron Kirby, Inc. (formerly Ron Kirby Auction & Realty, Inc.) was established in 1977 by Ron Sr. and Emma Jean Kirby. Their professionalism, knowledge, integrity and code of conduct continue to drive the growing company well into the 21st Century.
The auction facility fronts I-65 at Exit 6 in Franklin, Kentucky, 16 miles south of Bowling Green, Kentucky and 40 miles north of Nashville, Tennessee. The high visibility and tremendously easy accessibility of this facility make it a premier place to attract buyers and sellers.
In 1996 Ron Sr. began offering vehicles on a bi-monthly basis at their auction center. By 1997 they constructed an additional arena for auto auctions and personal property placement and auctions. Today, more than 15,000 vehicles pass through the four lanes at the facility, a steady growth since it began.
Real estate and personal property auctions remain major modes of operation, offering on-site or off-site events. The business maintains its mission statement “bringing buyers and sellers together for a win-win transactions.” We proudly present ourselves as a business rich in a wide range of experiences, resources, connections, technological advances and innovative methods. By re-investing in our company we continue the quality services and excellent customer interaction to ensure a pleasant and profitable experience for clients and customers.
We serve our community by providing employment opportunities, participating in civic and fund raising events including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and other social and church sponsored events. We are members of the Franklin-Simpson Chamber of Commerce, the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce, Kentucky and National Auctioneers Associations, Kentucky Automobile Dealers Association, and various civic, social and church groups.
